New European Distributor for Australian Magnetic Therapy Opens Spring 2005

By: Russell Everitt
Encouraged by recent medical research showing that magnetic therapy does work and the growing poularity of their Magnetic Therapy products - Australian Magnet Therapy have set up a UK based distributorship. (PRWEB) April 20, 2005 -- The sheer volume of testimonials to Magnetic Therapy for healing and pain relief are undeniable and this month Australian Magnet Therapy responded by opening a UK distributorship to handle European sales. The popularity of Magnetic Therapy Products are on the up - largely due to the findings of a study published in a recent issue of the British Medical Journal concluding that Magnetic Therapy bracelets do reduce pain in osteoarthritis of the hip and knee. Recently researchers from the Peninsula Medical School recruited 194 patients aged 45-80 years with osteoarthritis of the hip or knee from five rural general practices in Devon. Patients wore either a standard strength magnetic bracelet, a weak magnetic bracelet, or a non-magnetic (dummy) bracelet for 12 weeks. Changes in pain were recorded using a recognised pain scoring scale. They found a significant reduction in pain scores between the standard and dummy magnet groups. The results for the weak magnet group were similar to those of the dummy magnets, and this suggests that the magnetic strength of the bracelet is important. Initially the UK based distributor will be offering the company's most sought-after Natural Cotton Magnetic Mattress Overlays and Australian Luxury Wool Underlays as well as the ever-popular Magnetic Bracelets. Their online shop at www.Magnetic-Therapy.uk.com launched on the 1st April 2005.
