http://abernook.com. Abernook, (PRWEB) December 20, 2004 -- An online gift store adds the ALS Awareness Bracelet. A portion of the profits from the bracelet sales are being sent to the ALS Chapters participating in the program. ALS Chapters may contact Abernook to be added to the list of participating chapters. While working together with individual chapters on promoting ALS awareness, bracelet sales are creating funds for chapters that can be used towards patient services. The bracelet is designed using the ALS awareness colors of pinstripe blue. Using Swarovski Crystals and Bali silver, each bracelet is hand strung and includes an awareness charm at the toggle. The bracelet idea began by two caregivers whose spouses have ALS. Kathi and Colleen co-designed the awareness bracelet and have begun spreading ALS awareness in their states of Illinois and New York. The main goal of the bracelet design was to bring awareness to a disease that gets very little attention and to help raise funds in local areas. With four designs to choose from, customers can show their support by purchasing a Spouse, Family, Friend or Hope version of the bracelet. The center bead in each bracelet is yellow to signify Hope.
